Is Kaleidoscope open to the public?

Yes, Kaleidoscope is open to the public. We welcome all film enthusiasts to submit their work. You do not have to be a professional filmmaker to participate.

Yes, only short films that are about either of the two types of football—or both—will be considered. The story of the short film must take place either in the United States, in Mexico, or in both countries.

The call for entries closes on December 15, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time.

No, no extensions to the deadline will be granted under any circumstances. Only works received by the close of the call will be considered for final selection.

When and how will the winners be announced?

How can I submit my short film to participate?

The winners of Kaleidoscope will be announced on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. The announcement will be made on the Kaleidoscope Instagram account and website. Winners will also be contacted in writing via the email address registered on the FilmFreeway platform.

The short film can be in any language, but if the language is not English or Spanish, it must include subtitles in either Spanish or English.

You do not need to live in the United States or Mexico to participate in Kaleidoscope, but it is essential that the story of the short film takes place either in the United States or in Mexico, or in both countries.
