U.S. - Mexico BICENTENNIAL Kaleidoscope 2023
INAGURAL KALEIDOSCOPE
On December 12, 2022, on the 200th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the United States and Mexico, ASU, the University of Guadalajara, and the Wilson Center's Mexico Institute announced the launch of the jointly sponsored U.S.-Mexico Bicentennial Kaleidoscope, a short film contest and festival.
The goal was to honor all sorts of stories about everyday life that capture the presence of the neighboring country within our own, and within our lives.
In its first edition, Kaleidoscope received 880 submissions.

Festival
The Bicentannial Kaleidoscope held screenings in both countries. The awards ceremony and premier screening took place at the global headquarters of the Motion Picture Association in Washington DC. The Bicentennial Kaleidoscope was subsequently featured at the GuadaLAjara Film Festival and the International Book Fair of Guadalajara.
